Britlyn O. Green is the newest member of the Kayser Layne and Clark family. Her practice includes criminal defense, personal injury, real estate, and estate planning. Britlyn began working for the firm as a secretary back in 2014 and transitioned into an intern. After obtaining her Juris Doctor degree from the West Virginia University College of Law and passing the bar exam, Britlyn began practicing in the Spring of 2019. Britlyn also has Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from West Virginia University in 2014.
During law school, Britlyn participated in the Innocence Project, a clinical experience offered by the College of Law. This clinic allowed her to gain firsthand experience meeting with clients and defending their interests. Through the Innocence Project, she and her clinic partner were successful in having a client’s previously imposed prison sentence vacated sentence due to the client’s trial counsel being found to be ineffective.
In addition to her time with the West Virginia Innocence Project, Britlyn also spent time in various internships. She spent two years with Attorney Daniel Oliver, out of Morgantown, West Virginia with a practice primarily focused on real estate and estate planning. In her second year of law school she interned with the District Attorney of Fayette County, Pennsylvania, when she spent time in court observing hearings and trials and preparing briefs and various documents for the attorneys.
Britlyn is a lifelong resident of Mason County and alumni of Point Pleasant High School, class of 2011. She continues to reside in Point Pleasant with her husband, Kyle. Britlyn enjoys music, singing, and spending time with her family.
